For years, Carey Ourso’s life was defined by three things: Grit. Growth. Greatness.

As a high school baseball coach, he built championship teams, leading them to multiple state titles. Behind the trophies and celebrations, he was broke, barely making ends meet for his growing family. He had passion, he had leadership, but what he didn’t have was financial security.

That all changed when he made a bold decision, one that would alter the course of his life forever. He borrowed money from his father and took a leap of faith, purchasing a Jani-King franchise. He traded in his baseball cap for a business plan, stepping into the world of commercial cleaning with no experience, no roadmap, and no guarantees, just an unshakable belief that he could build something greater.

For nearly 15 years, Carey ran a marginally successful business. He worked hard, did well enough to get by, but something was missing. He wasn’t growing. He wasn’t scaling. He was stuck in a cycle of working in the business rather than on it. Then, everything changed.
Through relentless learning, strategic shifts, and a new approach to leadership, Carey cracked the code. In just five years, he went from $500K to $5 million, building the largest Jani-King franchise in the world. He learned the power of serving at the highest level, duplicating success, and multiplying opportunity, the very foundation of what he now teaches others.

But business growth wasn’t the only test he would face. Life dealt Carey unimaginable hardships. He survived a near-fatal brain aneurysm, a moment that could have ended everything he had worked for. And then came the greatest loss of all—the passing of his beloved wife to cancer. Before she left, she gave him a final charge: “Finish it.”
